What we believe about:
God
There is only one true God who is the creator and sustainer of all things.
He loves each one of us and desires to have a personal relationship with us.
Jesus
Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. Through his teaching, miracles and bodily
resurrection, Jesus proved his claim to be God. His death on the cross is
full payment for our sins.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the life of those who have accepted
Jesus Christ as Savior. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live the abundant
life that Jesus promised.
Bible
The Bible is God’s revealed word, without error, written by men who were
guided by His Spirit. We know that the Bibles we possess are trustworthy.
People
Our basic problem is not political,
economical or financial, but our need for a relationship with God. We were
created to know God but our sins get in the way. God has provided a way for
this relationship to be restored through Jesus Christ. Each one of us needs
to accept through faith Christ’s sacrifice for our sins. This response
requires believing in Jesus Christ, turning from our sins, acknowledging Him
as Lord, and being immersed in Christian baptism.
“For it is by Grace you have been saved, through
faith-and this not of yourself, it is the gift of God-not by works, so no
one can boast” Ephesians 2:8-9
What we practice as a
Church:
The purpose of the Church is summarized in
two key scriptures:
The Great Commandment:
“Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all
your heart...soul...and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and
Prophets hang on these two commandments.’”
Matthew 22:36-40
The Great Commission:
“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’”
Matthew 28:19-20
We accomplish
this through:
Teaching
Learning to
live like Jesus in our daily lives.
Worship
Celebrating
the living God in our lives and as a church.
Fellowship
Being a family
that truly cares and looks out for one anther.
Witness
Telling others
about Jesus and His Great love for them.
Service
Meeting the
needs of others.
